On the Landes coastline, All Saints' Day this year rhymes with swell and adrenalin: from October 24 to November 2, 2025, the 61st edition of the French Surfing Championships takes over the sandbanks of Hossegor, Seignosse and Capbreton. Nearly 550 competitors, from U23 categories to the eagerly-awaited Open, will compete for ten national titles in a festive atmosphere that goes far beyond sporting performance alone. The tenth historic stopover in the Landes region since 1964, the event capitalizes on the heritage of the first French competitions, while giving a voice to a new wave of talent, particularly in shortboarding, the flagship discipline. A platform of expression for established figures and up-and-comers alike, the event is accompanied by cultural events, educational workshops and societal initiatives supported by the Fédération Française de Surf, including a spotlight on women's surfing, discovery sessions on para surfing and conferences on coastal preservation. The public will be able to enjoy longboard, bodyboard and bodysurf demonstrations, before extending the festivities with night markets and concerts along the coast.
